FurHeartJoy Bed Size Guide
Finding the Perfect Fit for Your Fur Heart
At FurHeartJoy, we know that a bed that’s too small or a carrier that’s too tight isn't comfortable. Use our guide below to choose the best fit for your pet’s weight and style.
🐾 Step 1: Know Their Weight
- Petite (Up to 10 lbs): Ideal for Kittens, Toy Poodles, Yorkies, and Chihuahuas.
- Small/Medium (11–25 lbs): Ideal for most Cats, French Bulldogs, Pugs, and Boston Terriers.
- Intermediate (26–45 lbs): Ideal for Beagles, Cocker Spaniels, and Corgis.
- Large/Extra Large (46+ lbs): Ideal for Labs, Golden Retrievers, and Boxers.
🐾 Step 2: Know Their Sleep Style
- The Curler: If your pet sleeps in a tight ball, choose a Bolstered or Round Bed (like our Red Dingo or Sherpa Puff).
- The Sprawler: If your pet stretches out flat, choose a Rectangle or Orthopedic Bed (like our Cloud-Support Ortho Bed).
🐾 Step 3: Measuring for Carriers
When choosing a tote or sling, measure your pet from neck to base of tail.
- Our Boho Sling is best for pets under 10 lbs who love to be held close.
- Our Insulated Totes provide more room for pets up to 15-20 lbs to turn around.
Still Unsure?
If your pet is between sizes, we always recommend sizing up. A little extra room for snuggling is never a bad thing!

How to Measure Your Pet for the Perfect Fit
Getting the right size means your pet will be comfortable, cozy, and stylish. Here’s how to measure your dog or cat accurately:
- Neck Girth: Measure around the base of your pet’s neck where the collar usually sits.
- Chest Girth: Measure the widest part of your pet’s chest, just behind the front legs.
- Back Length: Measure from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail.

Tips for a Great Fit
- If your pet is between sizes, we recommend sizing up for comfort and growth room.
- For puppies or growing cats, choose a size with elastic or stretch features to accommodate growth.
- Always check the product description for any specific fit notes (e.g., "runs small," "extra stretch").
